Our Story
Our empire started in June 2014, when young talented musicians from different social and musical backgrounds were gathered to bring about a new African classical flavor to the musical entertainment.
On September 21st of the same year, the styled communities of people living in Johannesburg were finally offered a chance to witness a cultural milestone in the diversity of rich music field in South Africa, as the group hosted its official launch at Mandela Square’s “Theatre On The square”.
Introducing Gifted Folks
A diversely united African classical crossover musical ensemble of talented singers, instrumentalists & song-writers. Comprising of vocally talented & classically trained singers accompanied with fine instruments like:

- Drums and rattles

The unique arrangements of Gifted Folks beautifully blend classical, sacred and popular music, with an African flavor in a mesmerizing crossover genre.
The African Classical Crossover Live Experience
Since its establishment, this very young group has hosted more than 10 concerts in South Africa; and entertained numerous public, private and corporate events. Gifted Folks also released its first maxi single album and many covers.
Gifted Folks’ vision is to become an accomplished world-renowned African classical crossover ensemble of talented artists: The “African” version of the greatly respected Andre Rieu’s ensemble.
